Finally some scrapping...

I haven't had the motivation lately, my mind wants to but my body doesn't. I did a couple of layouts for Puzzle Sketches a few weeks ago, you can see one of them at the moment over there, the other is coming soon. Wasn't happy with those but what can you do??

The following layout I have wanted to do for ages but couldn't get it right, then I saw the sketch over at Stuck Sketches and thought I might enter it for that so here it is.

I am quite happy with it. I used the original labelled ribbon from my grandpa's army uniform and the ric rac is also from my grandma's vintage stuff. I also used a replica rising sun badge and some vintage typwriter keys for the numbers.

On a personal note DH and I went to Strathalbyn on the weekend for a wedding. We stayed in a beautiful bed and breakfast called Peppertree Cottage and strolled the beautiful antique shops. I cooked a lovely breakfast and had it on the deck after a long soak in a hot bubble bath. Pity life isn't like that more often.

Hopefully I will have some more layouts or even cards, it's that time of year again so might get started on the chrissie cards to show you.

Take Care xx

Circle Journal...

Aren't friends wonderful!

Some of my dear friends I made through my store KTM presented me with a beautiful gift the other night. All this was going on behind my back, I was so surprised and touched by this wonderful gift. They all made a couple of pages to add to a Circle Journal with their pictures, personal info and a quote all in their favourite colours. I just have to add myself now. The pics are below which I pinched from Nic's blog including some flattering pics of me receiving it. I will cherish this gift forever and haven't stopped looking at it since I received it. Thanks girls!!!xxx

And the rest...

Here is a couple more examples I did for puzzle sketches using some more great MME papers from their new range. I used the summer range, they are beautiful bright colours and pop off the blue American Crafts cardstock which is great stuff too. These are all available at Scrap Therapy and for this month MME is 'Man of the Month' so you will get 20% off the whole range.

Voting for Puzzles...

Head over to Puzzle Sketches to vote for your favourite layout. You have about 2 days left. There was once again a pile of great layouts. October's pieces are also up now so get started for your chance to win some great prizes.

Here is a couple of items I created using the October pieces and some yummy new My Minds Eye All Start papers and die-cuts due to arrive soon at Scrap Therapy as well as the very cool new cardstock from American Crafts. Keep checking for more examples to come.

Have our crop night coming up Friday night so hopefully get something done, normally I just sit and watch everyone else. Now I don't have the store to worry about I can actually enter everyone elses challenges etc which is great. Who knows, when I am confident enough I might even go for a DT spot somewhere. I have 2 Layouts in the current issue of SM and was quite shocked to see one of them made a full page. I have another one coming up in a few issues time. I love seeing them in print, mainly because the people that are on them are in the mag. They get a kick out of it, well the ones that are still with us that is.

Til next time

It's Official...

I am closing down KTM. After a long decision making process and lots of back and forth and sadness I have decided closing is the best thing. With my new job taking up most of my days and wanting my nights and weekends for my family and myself I just didn't have the time to commit fully to it. It wouldn't be fair to everyone if I only put half of myself into it. I think is the best thing for me. I have made lots of life long friends and even met family on the way. The biggest thing I will miss is the people and the daily interaction with them, people from all over the globe.

We are having a big sale so get in quick as it is all selling fast. First in first served.

I went around one of those dear friends today that started as a customer and she gave me the most beautiful gift. Handmade by her which means alot and a card with the most beautiful words in it. It took alot of strength not to ball my eyes out.

I want to thank all my customers and DT members that have contributed so much, especially Nic, without her I don't think I would have lasted as long as I did. She offered her great creative mind, time, love and much more to the running of the site as well as my personal life. She has been a rock and I hope I can only repay her one day. She is another that started off as a friend and turned out to be family, out of everything that was the biggest pay off. Through her I have also met Tess who is the lovliest person. I have got to know others south aussies personally through email as well as interstaters and got to share personal stuff that you sometimes can't talk to about with other people. It is great to know that there is people out there that trust you enough to share their problems and joy.

I have rambled enough and I hope I have covered everything I wanted to. I will always be here if anyone wants to chat privately or openly or just to share our creative sides.

Thanks xx

Toni Needs...

I saw this on Nic's blog and thought I would give it a try. Just type in your name then needs in your favourite search engine and see what comes up.

Here are my first 10:

1.Toni needs Surgery and a new club(now that's true of the plastic kind lol)

2.Toni needs careful daily monitoring.(no way, you can trust me)

3.Toni needs luck to prove doubters wrong.( I no I need luck lol)

4.Toni needs some coffee as a late birthday present.(Make that iced)

5.Toni needs a strike partner.(I think they are talking soccer)

6. Toni needs to go and find some food.(lol I am always looking for food)

7. Toni needs to come up with a better colour for dark auburn hair.(What the!)

8. Toni needs to do a live concert DVD.(Don't think anyone would buy it though lol.)

9. Toni needs to have a record label.(Have you heard me sing, Oh my god)

10. Toni needs more time to recover from whatever ailment bothers her.(Now that list is going to be long lol)

That was quite interesting actually. Some others were:

Toni needs to got to Nassau and do the feeding scuba with the reef sharks. I don't think so.

Toni needs to become something to keep some type of income coming in. Now aint that the truth.lol

Toni needs to re-work her hair 'light brown' colour. Whos going to pay for that?

I could go on and on. Thanks Nic.

Have done a bit of scrapping. I did manage to finish all layouts for the CC, very proud of myself. I have also done some others but can't show yet. Will have to wait to next month over at Puzzle Sketches. Here are the CC challenges.

We have also released a range of new kits over at KTM. These range in different prices and styles. Why not go over and check them out. They are already quite popular. These kits include our most recent celebrity scrapper kit designed by 'Amanda Hall' this is a beautiful kit for only $14.95. There isn't many left so be quick.

That will do for today.

Happy Scrapping
