Puzzle Sketches-Polka Dots, Bows and Paperclips

I haven't been a very good girl. I haven't done a post for months including keeping up to date with puzzle sketches.

The new pieces for August are up now over at puzzles along with some sample layouts, my last one will go up tomorrow. This is one I already completed using new Basic Grey "Dune Bug".

I will upload my other layout once it has gone up at puzzles. Voting for July pieces is happening now, go check out all the wonderful layouts and maybe give this months a go yourself. There is a heap of great prizes to be won each month. We are also going to be announcing our first creative team. It will be great to see other peoples contributions of inspiration.

Im still here!

Hi

Well I know it's been a while and to be honest I didn't think I would blog again.

I have had a chance to do a wonderful challenge for "Lets get Shabby". This months challenge is to use Gingham and flowers together. Here is my entry. I really enjoyed doing this layout and look forward to doing more.

I will be back to add some more updates later, I promise. Off to work now.

Have a great day

OMG where has the time gone???

Well its been forever it seems since I blogged, I don't know where to start or if anyone even reads this but it can be theraputic sometimes to sit and type. Have not done a lot of scrapping recently, with work and school and kids and being sick I haven't had the motivation. The girls and I are off to our first retreat soon which will be very exciting. Get to meet some great people, scrap and have a laugh.

I have done a few layouts for Puzzle Sketches and a couple for challenges. I have a layout coming up in the next issue of SM which is pretty cool. Here are some of the recent stuff:

Finally some scrapping...

I haven't had the motivation lately, my mind wants to but my body doesn't. I did a couple of layouts for Puzzle Sketches a few weeks ago, you can see one of them at the moment over there, the other is coming soon. Wasn't happy with those but what can you do??

The following layout I have wanted to do for ages but couldn't get it right, then I saw the sketch over at Stuck Sketches and thought I might enter it for that so here it is.

I am quite happy with it. I used the original labelled ribbon from my grandpa's army uniform and the ric rac is also from my grandma's vintage stuff. I also used a replica rising sun badge and some vintage typwriter keys for the numbers.

On a personal note DH and I went to Strathalbyn on the weekend for a wedding. We stayed in a beautiful bed and breakfast called Peppertree Cottage and strolled the beautiful antique shops. I cooked a lovely breakfast and had it on the deck after a long soak in a hot bubble bath. Pity life isn't like that more often.

Hopefully I will have some more layouts or even cards, it's that time of year again so might get started on the chrissie cards to show you.

Circle Journal...

Aren't friends wonderful!

Some of my dear friends I made through my store KTM presented me with a beautiful gift the other night. All this was going on behind my back, I was so surprised and touched by this wonderful gift. They all made a couple of pages to add to a Circle Journal with their pictures, personal info and a quote all in their favourite colours. I just have to add myself now. The pics are below which I pinched from Nic's blog including some flattering pics of me receiving it. I will cherish this gift forever and haven't stopped looking at it since I received it. Thanks girls!!!xxx

And the rest...

Here is a couple more examples I did for puzzle sketches using some more great MME papers from their new range. I used the summer range, they are beautiful bright colours and pop off the blue American Crafts cardstock which is great stuff too. These are all available at Scrap Therapy and for this month MME is 'Man of the Month' so you will get 20% off the whole range.

Voting for Puzzles...

Head over to Puzzle Sketches to vote for your favourite layout. You have about 2 days left. There was once again a pile of great layouts. October's pieces are also up now so get started for your chance to win some great prizes.

Here is a couple of items I created using the October pieces and some yummy new My Minds Eye All Start papers and die-cuts due to arrive soon at Scrap Therapy as well as the very cool new cardstock from American Crafts. Keep checking for more examples to come.

Have our crop night coming up Friday night so hopefully get something done, normally I just sit and watch everyone else. Now I don't have the store to worry about I can actually enter everyone elses challenges etc which is great. Who knows, when I am confident enough I might even go for a DT spot somewhere. I have 2 Layouts in the current issue of SM and was quite shocked to see one of them made a full page. I have another one coming up in a few issues time. I love seeing them in print, mainly because the people that are on them are in the mag. They get a kick out of it, well the ones that are still with us that is.

Til next time
